Welcome to Cusco - Party central of South America

Arriving late into Cusco with some Irish guys we took a red hot tip and headed to "The Point" a hostel which was not in our book but highly recommended. Within 20 minutes of arriving in Cusco we were drinking heavily and ended up heading to "Uptown" (not for the last time) until about 5:30am. Playing a mix of cheesy music from England 5 years ago and raggaton (a horrible type of Latin American dance music loved by the kids which basically goes "Dun Da Dun Dun", "Dun Da Dun Dun" with no real tune).

Deciding to have a few days of partying after Mike's recent stomach fun in Bolivia, we repeated the first night with pretty much exactly the same the next night, discovering that Uptown play the same music every night to the same group of gringos and locals - joy!

On our third day in Cusco we decided to take on the challenge of the Apurimac River...
